Some of the greatest tests believers face happen within the walls of the Church. Therefore, practical steps are given from the Word and explored by my personal process on how to overcome trials that are meant to stunt our growth so we never fulfill our destiny in Christ and the call to disciple the nations. In 2003, Journeying to the Broad Place was birthed when nothing seemed to be going right in my life at that time - professionally; spiritually and personally. The verse I was clinging to during that season is found in Psalm 118:5 "I called upon the Lord in my distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place." This verse may suggest transitioning from distress to the Broad Place is quick and easy. After all, God can do anything to instantaneously make our situations better, right? True, but I am learning God is more interested in changing us than our situations. Join me on this journey to be an effective Christian during the most difficult seasons of life.
