Little Women

Little Women is an autobiographical account of the author and her three sisters growing up during the Civil War in Concord, Massachusetts. These were the happiest years of their lives even though they faced the constant threat of poverty. The girls made use of a neighbouring barn to produce plays written by Louisa May. Little Women was written in 1869 and sales of it and her other books helped to make life less of a struggle for her parents in their later years.
