Bookreporter : Shelter (April 01, 2016)

In its rich characterization and ability to gradually raise the stakes, the story works effectively. There’s more than enough to appreciate in this above-average debut. Expect great things from Jung Yun.

Kirkus Reviews : Shelter (March 16, 2016)

Yun’s characters don't merely desire walls and a roof, although houses have a powerful and intelligent presence here. A diverse and nuanced cast of characters seeks shelter from pain and loneliness in this valiant portrayal of contemporary American life.
