Finders Keepers: A Novel

Finders Keepers: A Novel

I'd say it wasn't even as good as Mr. Mercedes. But, I did enjoy it, as much as I enjoy a Big Mac and fries, with an ice-cold Coke. But was it fulfilling, inspiring? Not really.

If, at first, you think Finders Keepers is meat-and-potatoes King, just wait: The dessert is really satisfying.

One of the pleasures of “Finders Keepers” is watching Mr. King’s ways of making pages turn.

That’s the greatest joy of this book: watching as King still makes it all seem so effortless, and 55 novels in, manages to thrill with every page.

Part of me can’t help wishing King had stayed with classic crime fiction.
