For those who may view women as natural adversaries or believe that reality TV cat fights and mean-girl antagonists are the norm, this book provides a compelling counter-narrative.

It’s disappointing that even when it arrives at the 20th century, “The Social Sex” is heavily biased in favor of the stories of rich, educated white women.
